One of the greatest French singers since Edith Piaf, she transformed herself in the ‘70s into a superstar showwoman known for her elaborate choreography, sequined ensembles, and American and British rock songs sung entirely in French. In 2005, she was appointed to the World Health Organization as a Goodwill Ambassador for Maternal and Pediatric Health in Europe and the French president awarded her the prestigious Légion D'Honneur for her lifetime achievements and contributions to French culture.
